Berkeley Heights Volunteer Rescue Squad
             About BHVRS
  • To provide ambulance and emergency medical services to all residents of Berkeley Heights,
    and to any person requiring such emergency services within the Township of Berkeley Heights.
  • To respond to calls for ambulance assistance in neighboring communities, or when requested
    by the NJ State Police or the NJ First Aid Council.
  • To aid and assist the NJ First Aid Council in furthering its work within the state.

Squad crews are scheduled to respond to emergency calls 24 hours/day, almost every day of the
week.

The BHVRS provides mutual aid to New Providence and to Long HIll Township on a regular basis and
to other surrounding towns when needed.

BHVRS Members - 2007 Berkeley Heights Memorial Day Parade
The Berkeley Heights Volunteer Rescue Squad
(BHVRS) was established in 1942. Squad
Headquarters is located at the corner of Snyder
Ave. and Locust Ave. in the township of Berkeley
Heights, NJ.

The BHVRS is staffed 100% by volunteers who
live and work in the township.

On the right are some Members gathered at
Memorial Field in Berkeley Heights after
marching in the annual Berkeley Heights
Memorial Day Parade.

The BHVRS is funded primarily through
tax-deductible donations. All donations are used
to purchase such items as supplies and
equipment and to support the objectives of the
Squad.
